Carson High School is pleased to recognize local businesses, including Lowes Home Improvement and Pizzava, for their generous donations and outstanding contributions to support students and teachers as well as educational programs and initiatives and professional development.

Facing the unpredictability of natural disasters and other emergency situations, Carson High has taken proactive steps to equip their facility with emergency kits that contain vital supplies. Recognizing the importance of preparedness, the school reached out to local businesses for assistance in stocking these kits.

In a remarkable display of community spirit, Lowes of Carson City donated essential items, primarily 105 five-gallon buckets and lids, for emergency kits at Carson High School. The emergency kits will help ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and employees in times of crisis and will contain and store a range of essential items and supplies including personal hygiene products and non-perishables for students who may be diabetic or have low blood sugar. This contribution will go a long way to ensure the school is well-prepared to provide for the immediate needs of its students and staff in the event of an emergency.

In addition to the emergency products, the high school also recognizes Carson City’s Pizzava for donating approximately 100 pizzas to employees and staff during the school’s professional development training.

These and many other contributions from local businesses have played a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of students and staff and have had a positive impact on their professional, academic and personal growth.

“This collaborative effort serves as a shining example of the strong sense of community that thrives in Carson City,” said Rodney Wade, dean of students at Carson High. “It highlights how businesses, schools and community members can work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our students as well as enhance the work environment and sense of belonging for our teachers.”
